Officially, it is the racket used by Juan Tello, but closer to home we obviously have our own local hero Frans Emile Teuben. During slower shots, the racket remains manageable. The softer inner layer of the core provides sufficient control, preventing the Vertex 05 from becoming a racket that only performs during hard attacking shots.
At the net, the racket feels stable and powerful. Volleys and bandejas allow you to put pressure on your opponent easily, while the diamond shape and additional mass behind the ball help when smashing.
From defence, the Vertex 05 shows that it is more versatile than many traditional power rackets. You still need good technique, but there is enough control to remain accurate under pressure.
